In a market dominated by space-age polymers and futuristic designs, it is reassuring to know that timeless classics are still available—and going strong. Since 1959, Uberti has kept alive the tradition of the legendary firearms of the Old West by providing accurate and affordable replicas of the originals to shooters and collectors alike.

Much like Italian movie directors breathed new life into the Western genre, Italian firm Uberti revived the Western gun. From the massive 1847 Colt Walker to John Browning’s 1885 High-Wall rifle, and lever-action rifles to the ubiquitous Colt 1873 six-shooter, Uberti guns have earned a worldwide reputation for being true to the originals while offering modern durability and safety, as well as excellent value and service.

RIFLES

Few firearms in history are as iconic as the 1873 Winchester repeating rifle and its predecessors. Uberti recreated these rifles by carefully examining and replicating the originals in the personal collection of company founder Aldo Uberti. Specifications, dimensions, functioning, feel and balance are exactly the same as the originals’. The only necessary license that Mr. Uberti took was to make these rifles shootable with modern commercially-available ammunition in the more popular calibers. Thanks to their all-steel, forged construction, Uberti rifles remain the gold standard in cowboy-action shooting competitions, as well as trusted companions in the hands of hunters and working ranchers.

CARTRIDGE REVOLVERS

The Uberti 1873 Cattleman has been in production since the early 1960s, giving it the longest uninterrupted manufacturing history of any revolver of its kind after WWII. A gun conceived in another industrial era, it had to remain true to the original – even in the age of CNC machines. Instead of compromising to make it easier to produce, Uberti adapted the manufacturing process to this classic firearm. The forging of all the components is executed by machine, while the extensive finishing, fitting, polishing and tuning are all done by hand—by professional artisans with decades of experience. This ensures that Uberti revolvers offer the strength and solidity of a forged gun, with the carefully-balanced functionality of a hand-made masterpiece.

1873 SPORTING RIFLE
24" .45 LC

The 1873 Sporting Rifle is rightfully one of Uberti’s bestselling models. The crescent-buttplate stock, the striking color-case finish on the action and lever, and the perfectly proportioned 24” octagonal barrel make it immediately evocative of the Old West. Functionally, it offers a full-length magazine with a 13+1 round capacity of .45 Colt, optimized—like the original—to feed round-nose ammunition. Sights are a buckhorn rear, fully adjustable for windage and elevation, and a sturdy front blade thick enough to be visible at twilight. Use it by itself or paired with an Uberti 1873 revolver, and you become part of a fraternity of Western rifle shooters going back almost a century and a half.

1873 SPECIAL SPORTING RIFLE
24" .45 LC

Take the popular 1873 Sporting Rifle, add a checkered pistol-grip stock and a gently curved lever, and you get the Special Sporting model. These 24”-barrel lever rifles are a favorite among hunters in heavy brush, thanks to the hard-hitting .45 LC chambering. Just like the Sporting configuration, the Special Sporting is optimized to feed round-nose ammunition—lead or jacketed. Also, all Uberti 1873 rifles come with a metal dust cover that can be slid over the ejection port to prevent water drops or debris from interfering with the action.

1873 CATTLEMAN II BRASS
5 1/2" .45 LC

The 1873 revolver is one of the absolute pinnacles of firearm design, as well as perhaps the most easily recognizable handgun in American history. The Uberti replica of this classic starts with the one-piece walnut grip, around which the brass backstrap and trigger guard are practically hand-sculpted to ensure a perfect wood-to-metal fit. Every metal component of this revolver, including the screws, is forged; the steel used is the same as for the M9 U.S. service pistol, making them durable heirlooms that can be passed on to the next generation. They are safe to fire any commercially available .45 LC ammunition—not merely “cowboy” loads—as long as it is standard pressure rather than +P. All Uberti firearms are covered by a five-year warranty.
