Overview

Universal Power Group Sealed Lead-Acid Battery - When you need a rugged battery that meets high quality and performance standards, while still being cost competitive, the Universal Power Group Universal line of sealed lead-acid (SLA) batteries are perfect. Absorbed glass mat (AGM), also known as valve regulated lead-acid (VLRA), is a technology that allows the use of proven lead-acid battery technology but without the hassle of routine battery maintenance such as checking the water levels for the proper amount of electrolyte. The glass mat material absorbs and releases the excess gas and water during the charge and discharge cycles. Since the batteries are sealed, spill proof, and leak proof, they can be installed in most locations and any orientation. The Universal batteries are designed to be deep cycled, which means they will hold up better than standard batteries in applications that require frequent charging and discharging, without adversely affecting the overall performance or capacity.

Applications: Solar power, wind power, marine and RV house power, deep cycling, commercial and residential installations.
