Kimber Rapide Pistols
(6)The 1911 is considered by many the greatest pistol of all time. Kimber has taken the 1911 originally designed by John Browning and cornered the market on this classic design with the Rapide. The Rapide 1911 is available in the original .45 ACP, 9mm or 10mm. The Rapide line is a versatile one with nine different configurations. No matter the color or finish of the various models, every one is a masterful mix of art and engineering excellence. Kimber has taken the original 1911 to new levels of excellence.
The Kimber 1911 is an excellent choice for personal defense, but it has taken hold of military and law enforcement use as well. The Los Angeles Police Department SWAT team carries Kimber 1911 pistols, as does the United States Marine Corps Special Operations Command. The Kimber 1911 is a favorite on the target competition course with the U.S.A. Rapid Fire Pistol Team shooting Kimber 1911s.

Frame. A heated steel frame, coated in Kimber’s proprietary KimPro II black finish resists corrosion, wear and reduces UV exposure. Ad an integrated 1913 Picatinny rail and you can easily attach a variety of accessories.
Slide. Faster follow-up shots thanks to aggressive window cuts on the stainless-steel slide have the added feature of lowered weight. Stepped cocking serrations provide a firm grip when you’re manually racking the slide. The slide carries the same Kim Pro II coating as the barrel.
Barrel. A stainless-steel match-grade barrel is coated with a black DLC finish that adds precision and durability. The five-inch match-grade barrel is a marvel of engineering and is available in both threaded and non-threaded. The threaded barrel is compatible with a majority of suppressors and other muzzle additions.
Sights. The Rapide is equipped with white dot sights, set at suppressor height so they’re ready to go with any muzzle edition. The slide is optic-ready with an optional adapter plate, creating a pistol that is ready to use in any lighting.
Grips. Stylish dark red or black G10 grips add style. The function is impressive thanks to a textured surface that allows a solid hold in any condition. Firing in weather or with gloves is not a problem and the ergonomic shape relieves fatigue in long shooting sessions.
Trigger. A crisp, consistent trigger break is one of the best features. A V-Cut match-grade trigger with a pull weight between four and five pounds is precision-engineered to add accuracy and control. This is an ideal trigger for precision and competition shooters.
Safety. A back strap grip safety guarantees the pistol is locked unless it is gripped securely. This extra level of security ensures safe handling when the Rapide is not ready to fire.
