Ladder Stands

Ladder stands offer the best stability of any tree stands if you’re able to set up in one place. They are meant to be installed and left over the course of the season (if not longer). Ladder stands are durable and give you space to maneuver while you’re identifying your target.

Ladder stands are not portable due to their significant weight, and you may need a partner to help you set up the stand unless you use a lightweight model. Ladder stands can often fit two people, so they are excellent options for hunting in groups if you are comfortable committing to a particular spot.

Ladder stands can tip off deer due to their straight lines, which stick out from the surrounding environment. If possible, install the ladder stand a couple weeks before your hunt will begin so they have time to get used to the stand.

You can purchase 1- or 2-man tree stands based on the amount of space you need and the size tree you have available.
