Spincast Reels

When you're casting, the reel funnels the line through an opening in the nose cone, enclosing the spool and pickup pin. This then spins around the spool as you turn the handle to retrieve the line, which reduces the twist that spinning reels can cause. Most spincasting reels will mount on top of the rod like a casting reel, and are operated by a button.
