The X-Bolt 2 Special delivers impressive performance with a combination of smart features and exceptional accuracy. Its lightweight, weather-resistant OD Green composite stock blends naturally into outdoor environments while remaining comfortable to carry across long distances and rugged terrain.

A light sporter-contour barrel provides an excellent balance between precision and reduced weight. The muzzle is belled to support larger 5/8 x 24 Suppressor-Ready Threading, and a thread protector cap is included. The action is carefully bedded and the barrel is free-floated to help maintain consistent accuracy shot after shot.

The redesigned action features a non-reflective matte blued finish. It is paired with the DLX Trigger, a three-lever system engineered for zero creep, zero take-up, and zero overtravel. The trigger comes factory-set at 3.5lbs for a clean, consistent pull.

Like all X-Bolt 2 rifles, the Composite Special uses a receiver with additional bolt-guidance surfaces, allowing for smooth and quick cycling.

A patented rotary magazine feeds cartridges directly from the center for straight-to-chamber loading. The magazine also incorporates shoulder retention to prevent bullet tips from contacting the front of the magazine during recoil, helping protect cartridge integrity.
