Hybrids produce higher yields and greater production in the agricultural world, the same is true in gun design with the GLOCK 19X, the first “Crossover” pistol produced by the legendary world leader. Glock has taken the full-size GLOCK 17 frame and mated it with the compact GLOCK 19 slide. In the process, they’ve created a pistol for all conditions and situations.

An introductory factory colored slide, finished with an improved nPVD slide coating to prevent erosion, comes in coyote color. Fitted with a GLOCK Marksman Barrel, ambidextrous slide stop levers, no finger grooves, and a lanyard loop. It is a classic. It includes a standard 17-round magazine and a pair of 17+2 magazines in a coyote-colored pistol case.

Safety features are big with the Glock 19x. A loaded chamber indicator on the top of the pistol and a lanyard clip that’s handy for keeping control of the Glock in wet or cold conditions and Glock’s safe action system all serve to prevent accidental firing. A pair of 17-round magazines makes it action ready with 34-rounds within easy reach in a firefight. A pair of beavertail backstraps allows a custom fit, making the pistol comfortable to any hand size.

Left-handed shooters will appreciate the ambidextrous slide stop lever, and everyone will appreciate the proprietary Glock Marksman barrel, one of the best on the market. Add an extended reversible magazine catch and a Gen 4 RTF with no finger grooves and you have a classic handgun suitable for anyone.

Now for the technical specifics of this quality firearm. It tips the scale at just 22.05 ounces without a magazine and 24.83 with an empty magazine. The weight will vary greatly depending on the magazine you use. The 17-round magazine is standard, but you can select a 19 or even a 24-round magazine as an option. A barrel length of 4.02 inches makes the Glock 19x a viable contender on the target range, A slide length of 6.85 inches, a width of 1.3 inches and a height of 5.47 inches, combined with a one-inch-wide slide creates a compact profile suitable for concealed carry, but hefty enough for heavy firing of its 9mm cartridges.
