Retay Gordion Semi Automatic Shotguns

These might be one of the best semi-automatic shotguns you’ve never heard of, but you will. Retay Gordion is a Turkish manufacturer that went into business in 2006. Their target is innovative design, quality craftsmanship and durability in 20 and 12-gauge shotguns.

Gordion series uses an inertia recoil system that produces a smooth cycle with reduced recoil. The shotguns are lightweight, making them easier to track on target and the reduced recoil lets the shooter remain on target without having to reacquire it. These are designed as hunting shotguns with the intent of putting the most pellets on target possible.

Available in 24, 26 and 28-inch barrels for hunting models, Retay also offers a Gordion Tactical with a pistol grip and 18-inch barrel and a unique combo offering that features an 18.5- and 28-inch barrel. This combination is an all-purpose offering, good for a wide variety of hunting and as a home defense weapon.

Three versions Compact, Turkey and Standard in 12 or 20-gauge and barrel lengths of 24, 26 and 28-inches offer a lot of versatility to the Retay Gordion lineup. These are smooth operating, gas inertia recoil semi-automatic shotguns made for serious competitive shooters, waterfowl, upland game and turkey hunters.

The black anodized finish built for three-inch shells is setting a new standard in sporting shotguns. Retay has studied the market and filled these shotguns with premium options including oversized SP controls, an easy load trigger guard, a quick upload system and they’ve thrown in a hard case just for good measure.

A four-shot magazine, a variety of camouflage synthetic and traditional walnut stocks, and even a pistol grip Turkey gun offer something every hunter can enjoy. Included with each shotgun are five choke tubes, a choke wrench and a shim kit. Retay’s “dead straight deep bore barrel” packs the tightest shot pattern on the market.

Retay offers three versions of the Gordion, the Compact, Turkey and Standard

• Compact – Available on 20-gauge only, this shotgun weighs just 6.8 pounds, meaning it can be packed through the brush while hunting for pheasants, quail or small game. It carries all the standard options of every Gordion.
• Turkey – Similar to the Standard, the Turkey has slightly shorter barrels with 22 and 24-inch in the 20-gauge model and 24 or 26-inch in the 12-gauge. The biggest difference is this shotgun arrives ready to mount a scope for longer, tighter shots on turkeys.
• Standard – The top selling model of the Gordion line. It’s available in both 12 and 20-gauges and has the same light 6.8-pound weight. You’ll get a little more kick in terms of recoil with the 12-gauge but it is well withing manageable limits. The Standard is offered in a wide variety of camo patterns and traditional walnut stocks.
