A key feature is a tool-less bolt disassembly system that allows for quick and convenient field maintenance when conditions demand it. The bolt utilizes an M16-style extractor for dependable extraction and consistent ejection performance. Standard equipment includes an externally adjustable TriggerTech field trigger and a PEAK 44 Picatinny rail. The Alpine MDT Carbon is built around the MDT HNT26 Chassis System, a lightweight platform developed specifically for hunting applications. Designed to combine precision-rifle performance with backcountry portability, the chassis incorporates V-block bedding, adjustable length of pull, an adjustable comb, and compatibility with AICS-pattern magazines. Weighing only 26 ounces, the HNT26 chassis utilizes a magnesium alloy foundation paired with a carbon fiber forend, carbon fiber pistol grip, and carbon fiber buttstock. An integrated ARCA rail in the forend provides straightforward tripod compatibility, while a folding buttstock enhances portability and storage convenience. Available in both short- and long-action configurations, the Alpine MDT Carbon is chambered in a selection of proven Weatherby magnum cartridges as well as many of today's most popular hunting and precision-shooting cartridges.
