Weatherby Model 307 Alpine CT 300 Weatherby Magnum Chocolate Brown Cerakote Bolt Action Rifle - 26in - The Alpine CT is built on Weatherby’s newest bolt action rifle platform, the Model 307. Meant to complement the historic Mark V and Vanguard lineups, the Model 307 action is a 2-lug, fully cylindrical action compatible with many aftermarket accessories. Model 307 is designed to accommodate the vast offerings of stocks, triggers, rails, and mounts that exist in today’s marketplace. Weatherby teamed up with PEAK 44 to produce an ultra-light rifle that can own the range and dominate in the field. The PEAK 44 Bastion stock weighs in at 24 ounces and uses a proprietary 3D-Hex recoil pad to reduce the effects of recoil. You’ll also find that the barrels on the Alpine MDT Carbon are shorter than Weatherby's traditional offerings. The BSF carbon barrel delivers unmatched accuracy and comes with Weatherby’s Accubrake DST (Directional Self-Timing Brake).

Through years of innovation and testing, the Model 307 action features a bolt that was designed to have a tool-less disassembly which allows hunters and shooters to easily field strip their bolt if needed. The bolt is equipped with an M16-style extractor for positive extraction and reliable ejection. The Alpine CT comes standard with an externally adjustable TriggerTech field trigger and PEAK 44 picatinny rail.

In the Alpine CT lines, the BSF barrel is threaded and comes with the all new directional self-timing brake. The receiver and muzzle brake are coated in a durable Cerakote and the carbon fiber stock is hand-painted.

• Tensioned Barrel - After BSF turns down a 416R stainless steel match barrel they sleeve it with carbon fiber and load it under tension. Because it’s under tension, as the barrel heats up it keeps the rifling straighter, resulting in a stiffer, more rigid barrel.
• Cooler Barrel-Consistent Groups - With BSF’s proprietary method, 95% of the carbon fiber does not touch the contoured barrel, creating air gaps and allowing air to foil around the steel and cool the barrel faster. The high quality carbon fiber is designed to move at the same expansion rate as the 416R stainless steel resulting in a vibration dampening effect. What does that mean? It means the carbon fiber absorbs the shock and vibration allowing more consistent groups.
