Ruger PC Carbine Takedown 9mm Luger 16.12in American Flag Camo Cerakote Semi Automatic Rifle - 10+1 Rounds - California Compliant - California Compliant - This model ships with a 10-round magazine and non-threaded barrel for consumers in those states which limit magazine capacity and have feature-based restrictions. Easy takedown enables quick separation of the barrel/forend assembly from the action for ease of transportation and storage. Takedown is as simple as locking the bolt back and verifying that the rifle is unloaded, pushing a recessed lever, twisting the subassemblies and pulling them apart. Dead blow action features a custom tungsten dead blow weight that shortens bolt travel and reduces felt recoil and muzzle rise. Bolt is machined from heat treated, chrome-moly steel to ensure strength, structural integrity and durability.

California compliant design prevents the magazine release button from being engaged while fully assembled, locking the magazine into the receiver.  To release the magazine from the rifle, the shooter will be required separate the upper from the lower by pulling on an extended (rear) takedown pin with an attached cord to make the process easier.  Once the magazine has been released the rifle can be re-assembled and shot once again.
