.45 ACP for the AR-15 Platform

Traditionally a pistol cartridge, the .45 ACP has been adapted as a smaller round for the AR-15. This classic pistol cartridge is lighter than most rifle cartridges by design, but still comes with a bit more weight than the 9mm. For this reason, it's best used as a home defense round when the bullets need to travel over shorter distances than they do for hunting.
