The slug has non-toxic steel and polyethylene construction with a solid steel slug for deep penetration to reach vital organs, flat ogive for maximum energy transfer, a waisted slug body that provides aerodynamic self-stabilization, and a polyethylene bearing surface to reduce bore friction. The Steelhead slugs are suitable for both smoothbore and rifled barrels and safe for all chokes.
