The black coated 4034 stainless steel blade holds an edge well but isn't hard to sharpen when the time comes. To open, all you need to do is push on one of the ambidextrous thumb studs a little bit. The assist spring takes over, and just like that the blade is open and locked with a tough liner lock mechanism. The knives also feature a handle mounted safety to make sure the knife only opens when you want it to, and a pocket clip to keep it within reach.
