Jigging Spoons

Jigging spoons are an excellent choice as the weather gets colder. These lures imitate an injured or dying baitfish, signaling an easy meal to your target species. You can use jigging spins vertically to jig directly over cover for object-oriented fish such as bass that will be spooked by an exposed hook. Spoon jigging works best in deeper water, including ice fishing. You'll want to match the line size to the amount of cover you expect, while still using as light a line as possible, such as P-Line.
