.223 Wylde for the AR-15 Platform

The .223 Wylde is a very popular cartridge for the AR-15 platform, though it can also be used in manual-action rifles and handguns in addition to the semi-automatic. It can be used as a deer hunting cartridge under the right circumstances, and is well-suited as a varmint and predator cartridge. While the .223 Wylde and 5.56 NATO are often seen as interchangeable, know that it is not safe to shoot .223 Wylde out of a rifle chambered for 5.56 NATO. An AR-15 rifle chambered in the .223 Wylde is an excellent firearm for self defense.
