Henry Steel Wildlife Edition Rifle -Like their brass cousins, these steel-framed models acknowledge a long history of hunting, and the lever action’s well-earned place in it for over 150 years. More subdued, with blued steel frames and furniture, they’re also lighter in weight for long days on foot through dense brush and high mountain terrain. Steel weighs less than our hardened brass material, and the round barrels here also reduce weight for a trimmer hunting package that loses nothing in performance in the field. The steel Wildlife .30-30 carries over the same engraving patterns of the brass version, with American vine, scroll, and braided borders surrounding a circular buck’s head portrait in 24K gold relief on the right side behind the ejection port, and an oval-framed leaping buck on the left. Other sections are also accented in gold.
