Taurus TH9 Compact
You like the low price of the full-sized TH9, but it’s a little heavy for what you had in mind, it doesn’t fit easily in your leg holster, or your purse and is just a little bit too big for a concealed carry pistol. You can still enjoy the lower price offered in the TH9 line by Taurus in a much smaller footprint with their compact version of the TH9.
There are many similarities in action, magazine size, (at least in the 9mm version) and in having the choice of either .40 caliber Smith and Wesson or 9mm Luger to choose from in the full-size and compact versions. Even the color offerings are similar in the polymer designs with black and black/tan options.
What is different is the physical size and weight of the compact compared to the full-size TH9.
The compact is slightly lighter at 25 ounces, and the width is identical but the compact version is only 6.85 inches long, 5.16 inches high, and has a shorter barrel length at 5.16 inches.

It has the same polymer frame, along with the proprietary grooves that Taurus carved into this pistol for extra control, the only difference is the groves are a little smaller in width and not quite as long since the footprint of the TH9 compact is reduced in comparison with the standard model.
The recoil from a 9mm round with the 25-ounce weight of this smaller design should be negligible, so accuracy is in the hands of the shooter. As with the larger model, some claim that the trigger mechanism affects the accuracy of the weapon. With a shorter barrel, if you experience a little sluggish behavior in the trigger, the accuracy will be reduced even more than in a full-size TH9.
