Griffin Regular Hair Evener Fly Tying Tool - As popular today as when Griffin first introduced it, this model has a knurled base for a sure grip. Overall length is 2 3/4in. Funnel length is 1 3/4in. Funnel opening is 5/8in. A hair evener or stacker is a tool used to level the tips of hair ready for tying. This tool is a must for wings on streamers, wet flies and dry fly patterns that call for hair fibers to be aligned. Hair is placed tip first into the stacker and tapped a few times on a table, allowing the tips to fall in line. The tube is then tilted and removed from the base revealing the perfectly level fibers.
